BACKGROUND

Nipro Europe NV develops, produces, and sells medical and pharmaceutical aids for dialysis, infusion therapy, diabetic applications, pharmaceutical glass, and general hospital supplies.

CHALLENGE

The challenge here was to promote a large corporate entity with a global reputation, but to still adapt their presence to a local market. The booth needed to promote the large-scale products Nipro offers, to showcase their recognizable branding, and to include the “Glocal” (global + local) design concept across multiple congresses from 2013 to 2015.

OUTCOME

Following Nipro's “Glocal” concept launch in early 2013, the idea to design each booth with the visual or architectural elements of the congress' host city came about. Inspired by some of the subtlest, yet most potent local design elements, our booths pulled at the delegates’ heartstrings. From a booth designed as a London Tube station complete with turnstiles, to an Istanbul booth with Turkish lamps from a local market, to an Amsterdam booth that even included a bicycle secured to a lamp post, our booths’ unique and authentic designs did not go unnoticed. They were remarkable—consistently a congress favorite, increasing traffic and interactions as well.
